Home at last

Well, Aunt Mary came home last tuesday (July 21st). She is using a walker in the house and a wheelchair when she goes out. She is still dragging her left leg, but everything else is in great shape. She is still doing therapy and has a home health nurse come out. I'm not sure what the home health nurse does but evidently she helps alot. She is learning how to do things on her own without assistance. She is doing great at it too! It is amazing and wonderful how prayer works!

WOW!

As you all know, Aunt Mary is making excellent progress. She is able to do almost everything by herself. They want to let her go home tuesday, but she is very scared. She thinks that she will not be able to make it. She knows it will be extremely difficult. She cries alot, and needs your support and encouraging words. Thank you for your continued support and prayers, we are still very thankful by them all!

Tuesday

Aunt Mary stood up today without hesitation. She didn't even doubt that she could do it, she just did! She also stood for a few minutes with good balance. She said that the wheelchair is the hardest for her because it is hard to wheel. The other day she wheel to the nurses station and back, but it was still very hard. She is doing some exercises to help with that. She did have a little headache today, but that's all she complained of.

Updates will probably come two or three times a week because she is doing so well. It is mainly about regaining strength and moving her leg more. Thanks for your continued prayers and thoughts. We really appreciate it.

Friday PM

Well, I have been out of the loop! Sorry for the delay (once again)! Aunt Mary has walked with a walker and a boot on her foot (to protect her toes) yesterday. She walked 75 steps! It exhausts her very much. She is very overwhelmed and cries every time she is able to move anything. She is still in shock that this has happened to her. She cried very hard when she found out how much the benefit raised for her medical bills. We are all truly blessed to have such great support from all of you. I will try my best to keep up with Aunt Mary, but she seems to just be excelling! Thank you for your prayers keep them coming!
